Be Transformed

Rom 12:2: Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The best example of transformation is the metamorphosis of a butterfly. Who would not be amazed – from an unattractive worm-like figure to a beautiful and colorful butterfly. This physical transformation marks a new beginning and a new life of a butterfly.

For Christians, spiritual transformation is a precondition in the walk with the Lord – to be “born again”. At once, when we accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior in our lives, we were brought from darkness to light, from death to life. This should be proclaimed daily in our lives. Our walk with Him is a journey. It is not just enduring the pain because of trials, persecutions, and rejections but also the daily transformation.

God wants us to endure the enticement of what the world offers. The world does not value eternity but the things that fade. God wants us to see things on His perspective not on the perspective of the world, as it is said, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind”.

The world where we live today is not yet our final destination. God has set a place where we will live for eternity with Him.

See things in God’s way, by this, you will be able to understand His will for you. Do not fool yourselves by giving excuses and enjoying the worldly things you have now. Make up your mind! God is calling you to be the light of the world. Take every opportunity while you still have the time.
