HISTORY OF ZAEF
Zamboanga Alliance Evangelical Fellowship started as AMOR CELESTIAL (circa 1980's) near the Dominican Church of Zamboanga under the leadership of Pastor Bern Feolog. It was the “gathering phase” of the church where everyone was new in their new found faith.
Then still in AMOR CELESTIAL, came Pastor Bernabe Cielo whose gift/strength was on deliverance. Later years, the church moved to Lustria’s Residence in Baliwasan Grande and changed its name to BATOP which stands for Baliwasan Alliance Tabernacle of Praise. Then the church transferred to the Pamaran’s residence, still in Baliwasan Grande, this time under the leadership of Pastor Romeo Degolacion.
It is during the leadership of Pastor Romeo Degolacion where the four (4) elders: Eduardo Castillo, Graciano “Ama” Tose, Rolando Batao, and Peter Ojales became the pioneer EE trainors in Zamboanga.
In April 1998, the church was bombed during the vesper service and was forced to move; from Pamaran’s residence, the church moved out and begun their “EXODUS”. Sometimes they had service in Whoopee, Basement Bar of Perlita Hotel, and at the Degolacion’s residence in San Jose Gusu, JJ Drive.
Until then, the church was able to raise money to buy the lot in M.A. Fernandez Drive. The elders spearheaded the “pintakasi” and built the building. It was then already under the leadership of Pastor Loloy Viña. The church’s name was ZEF (Zamboanga Evangelical Fellowship) then later was changed to ZAEF. Pastor Loloy Viña stayed for a year, followed by Pastor Jun Sotillo and all the more the Praise and Worship Team was strengthened. Next who came was Pastor Ramonito Sabellano and led the church for 17 years.

In 2017, Pastor Guillermo Tejero and the family came and led the church up to present.

HISTORY OF CAMACOP

CAMACOP was incorporated in 1947 as a national church of the C&MA Philippine Missions. The Christian and Missionary Alliance in USA expanded its missions works in the Philippines in 1902. The C&MA was assigned in Zamboanga - Sulu Archipelago and Cotabato – Davao regions of Mindanao.
The first Alliance Church was planted in 1902 in Tetuan, Zamboanga City, the first Protestant church in Muslim Mindanao, which still exists until today.
After the Second World War, the local churches planted by C&MA Missionaries decided to organize themselves as a national church. Thus in 1947 the first 13 local churches incorporated themselves as The Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines, and in 1949 CAMACOP was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) thus became a legal personality.
It is headed by the National Executive Board of Trustees which consists of the CAMACOP President, CAMACOP Vice-President, ministers and laymen. In 2005, the CAMACOP By-Laws was amended to add the title of Executive Bishop to the CAMACOP president and the title of Auxiliary Bishop to the CAMACOP vice-president.
